Water falls, affects glass panes,
affects my temper; don’t bother me.
Stuck inside, clemency lacking.
When rain falls, people hide away.

If the sun shines bright and the day is long,
I’ll stay inside; write a tale or two,
Blasted rain contradicts my action;
when rain falls, all is still.

So here I sit, droplets flicker across the sky,
and that hole above, I swore I’d fix
dribbles water upon my neck.
When rain falls, there’s nothing to be done.

I’ll go for a walk, damn this rain
ah, it’s heavier than at first it seems.
Perhaps not then, I’d rather not catch cold;
when rain falls, apathy reigns supreme.
