Listen: The rumbling of engines, like old beasts
unfed and malnourished, sleeping soundly.
Force them to waken, and set them upon
our homes, our lifeline to continuance.

Throw upon the fires anything that burns,
cut them down, cut them down,
bring us the fuel to continue
the never-ending march of progress.

The far few must be moved,
set upon them with our beasts,
and move them. Soon enough,
they’ll become part of our cities.

Wake your brothers and sisters all,
gather them in the so called country,
for tomorrow we march to war.
Lead the way, replace wood with steel.

Gather round. The city sleeps and the country toils.
Now turnabout! Rearm and change yourselves,
aim your tools and words against the steel hive,
and burn it all away.
